The UCC is a welcoming and confidential place on campus where students can come to discuss issues ranging from homesickness and adjustment to college to relationships concerns, eating disorders, substance use, anxiety, and depression. We offer Individual, Couples, Group, and Crisis Intervention services by licensed and professionally trained staff to currently enrolled FSU students. Our services are paid for through student fees and are offered at no additional charge.

An advocate is on call twenty-four hours a day to respond to FSU students who are victimized, or any other person who is victimized on our campus, or by an FSU student. Services offered include emotional support, instructor notification, referrals, and educational programming for our campus community. University Health Services, Florida State University’s fully accredited primary care facility, provides medical care and outreach programs through a team of dedicated professionals. The Withdrawal Services staff provides support to students and their families when a student’s enrollment is unexpectedly interrupted due to unforeseen circumstances (personal, family, medical or mental health reasons, and/or other crisis). Students who must leave during a current semester must officially withdraw (all classes) through the Dean of Students Department.

Florida State University established the Employee Assistance Program (EAP) in the Spring of 1995. Since its inception, it has offered a professional support system for the faculty and staff of the University and contracted agencies.
